About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer to support a diverse range of broadcast, media and cloud-based services from our operational MCR/NOC environment in a shift-based role.
This role has a particular focus on maintaining service reliability and performance. You'll be monitoring service health, responding to incidents, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving resolutions through to completion. Working across operations and DevOps practices, you'll also contribute to automation, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Monitor broadcast and distribution services, proactively identifying and responding to operational issues.

Troubleshoot incidents, perform technical triage, and drive issues through to resolution.

Manage and maintain incident tickets, ensuring accurate documentation, clear ownership, and timely progress.

Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes using ITSM tools.

Contribute to automation, operational tooling, and process improvements that enhance service reliability and efficiency.

Work closely with engineering, project, and platform teams to support live service delivery and operational readiness.

Assist with knowledge sharing, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Other tasks and duties as required.
About You
This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving complex problems, and is keen to build expertise in service operations, incident management and DevOps practices within a shift-based operational environment.
The successful applicant will bring:
- Experience in broadcast, media, telecommunications or IT operations environments.
- Knowledge of IP networking, monitoring tools, incident management and technical troubleshooting.
- Exposure to broadcast, media distribution, OTT delivery and/or cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- A proactive approach to incident and ticket management, seeing issues through to resolution.
- An interest in automation, operational tooling and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
- Willingness to work rotating shift rosters supporting critical 24/7 services.
